Privacy policy

Effective November 1, 2026

This policy explains how RBL Industries LLC ("RBL Industries", "we", "us") handles personal information on commoditydealer.shop (the "Site"). The short version: we collect only what you send us or what is needed to run the Site securely, we run no ad trackers or analytics cookies, and we do not sell or share your personal information.

Information we collect

  • Messages you send. If you contact us by email or through a contact form: your name, email address, company, product link, and message.
  • Deal alerts. If you subscribe: your email address and the date you signed up.
  • Technical data. When you visit, our hosting and security provider processes your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you request, to deliver the Site and block abuse.
  • Theme preference. Your light or dark choice is stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not send it to us.

How we use it, and our legal bases

  • To reply to your message and discuss any project you ask about (your request, or steps before a contract).
  • To send deal alert emails you asked for (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • To keep the Site secure, prevent spam and fraud, and fix problems (our legitimate interest in running a safe site).
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax records for paid projects or responding to lawful requests.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that process it for us under contract, and only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, security, spam protection (Turnstile), and email routing. Privacy policy.
  • Email delivery providers (Mailgun and Amazon SES, through our emailer.live newsletter platform): sending deal alerts. Mailgun, AWS.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out request, although there is nothing to opt out of.

Affiliate links and other sites

Product links take you to Amazon, Walmart, and other sites. Those sites collect data under their own privacy policies, including cookies that record the referral. Videos on the Site load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain only after you press play. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party sites.

How long we keep it

  • Messages: as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting project, plus any period required for tax and legal records.
  • Deal alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of the unsubscribe so we do not email you again.
  • Technical and security logs: kept by Cloudflare for short periods under its retention policy.

Security

The Site is served only over HTTPS, uses strict security headers, and keeps credentials out of the browser. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including Virginia (VCDPA), California (CCPA/CPRA), other U.S. states with privacy laws, the EU, and the UK (GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy in a portable format;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • withdraw consent or opt out of emails at any time;
  • opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling (we do none of these);
  • not be treated differently for using these rights;
  • appeal our decision on your request, and complain to your data protection authority or state attorney general.

We extend these rights to everyone. To make a request or an appeal, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". We will confirm your request using the email address we have on file and respond within 30 days, or 45 days where the law allows, telling you if we need more time. An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authorization.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

International visitors

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will give notice on the Site before it takes effect.
